Hello and welcome to the second official Music Contest of Overbound 1.1! We are very excited to be here hosting the second Music Contest after almost a full year, and we have achieved great results. This time, we're back with some significant changes for the contest and for the participants.

For those who are not familiar with Overbound: It is a game developed by CosmicCatGames with the main plot of completing a world of 10 levels without losing 5 lives. To achieve this, players must collect diamonds and dodge obstacles. If you lose all 5 lives before completing the first world, you lose and will be returned to the first level of the world.

For this new update, some novelties will be added, such as World 2, three completely new game modes, new characters, multiplayer, among other things. Additionally, the game is now being developed in Unity to provide more options and diversify further.

The Music Contest will be conducted as follows:

• Anyone interested in participating will have time between December 29, 2023, and January 10, 2024, until 0:00 hrs. (GMT-6, Mexico City). Once this time has passed, you will no longer be eligible to participate. It will be divided into two phases: the selection phase and the final phase.

Who will choose the songs?

• We have a team of 10 people this time who will be responsible for selecting the best songs. On January 13, 2024, the list of all participating songs will be announced. Those appearing in green are the ones that have been approved for the final phase. A vote will be held on January 17, 2024, with 5 experienced music judges. In addition, a vote will also take place on our YouTube channel and X (Twitter) for people to vote on which songs they want to be selected. Out of all the participating songs, only 15 songs will pass the public votes, and only 10 will pass the judges' votes.

When will the results be announced?

• These will be announced on January 18, 2024, at 18:00 hrs. (GMT-6, Mexico City) through our YouTube and Twitch channels in a live broadcast.

What will I win if my song is chosen?

By winning, you will receive a free download key for PC and Android (coming soon for iOS). Additionally, you will have early access to the new Overbound 1.1 update. Exclusive in-game items will be awarded to the winners. With the approval of the chosen artists, your music will be published on platforms supported by CosmicCatGames, CosmicCatMusic, and Nature Light (It should be clarified that all chosen songs will be published within the same album, a compilation album, but the artists will still receive the corresponding rights, and all income from their music will be delivered to the respective composition author). The album will be published on various platforms such as Spotify, YouTube, Apple Music, Deezer, etc.

RULES:

• Songs cannot be published under a label as it will complicate the process of adding it to the game. If they are already published on platforms without a label, there is no problem, as long as, by participating, you give us permission to use your song in the game.
• Preferably, the music should be new, but if you prefer and wish, it can be music you had published previously. This will give you more possibilities if the composition is new, but it is not a mandatory requirement.
• The use of copyrighted elements is prohibited (to avoid problems at the time of publishing). The song you send will be checked, and it will be determined if the composition is completely original. You cannot use third-party elements unless you have permission and there are no problems with the publication, but preferably, do not use them to avoid problems (which we have had in the past with another artist due to the duplication of the entire composition). Preferably, a completely original composition without the use of third-party elements.
• You cannot submit more than one song. To ensure fair participation, each participant can only upload one song. If we see that you uploaded more than one, you will be given a warning, and it will affect your chances of participation. We will use the most recent song you uploaded and ignore the others.

¡Hola y bienvenidos al segundo Music Contest oficial de Overbound 1.1! Estamos muy emocionado de estar aquí realizando el segundo Music Contest después de casi un año completo y también de haber obtenido resultados grandiosos. Esta vez regresamos con algunos cambios grandes para el contest y para los participantes.

Para los que no conocen todavía Overbound: Es un juego desarrollado por CosmicCatGames con trama principal de completar un mundo de 10 niveles sin perder 5 vidas. Para esto recolectando diamantes y esquivando obstáculos. Si pierdes las 5 vidas antes de completar el primer mundo perderás y se te regresará al primer nivel del mundo.

Para esta nueva actualización se añadirán algunas novedades como el mundo 2, tres modos de juego totalmente nuevos, nuevos personajes, multijugador, entre más cosas. Además, el juego se está trabajando ahora en Unity para tener más opciones y poder diversificarnos más.

El Music Contest se realizará de la siguiente forma:

- Cualquier persona que esté interesada en participar tendrá tiempo entre el 29 de diciembre de 2023 hasta el 10 de enero de 2024 hasta las 0:00 hrs. (GMT-6, Mexico City), una vez pasado ese tiempo ya no podrás ser seleccionado para participar. Este se dividirá en dos fases: fase de selección y fase final.

¿Quién elegirá las canciones?

- Tenemos un equipo de 10 personas esta vez que se encargará de elegir las mejores canciones. Se anunciará el 13 de enero de 2024 el listado con todas las canciones participantes. Los que aparezcan en color verde son los han sido aprobados para la fase final. Para ello se hará una votación el día 17 de enero de 2024 con jueces 5 experimentados en música, además que también se hará una votación en nuestro canal de YouTube y X (Twitter) para que la gente pueda votar que canciones desean que sean elegidas, entre todas las canciones participantes solo 15 canciones pasarán las votaciones del público y solo 10 las votaciones de los jueces.

¿Cuándo se anunciarán los resultados?

- Estos se anunciarán el día 18 de enero de 2024 a las 18:00 hrs. (GMT-6, Mexico City) a través de nuestro canal de YouTube y Twitch en un en vivo.

¿Que ganaría si mi canción es elegida?

Al ganar recibirás una clave de descarga gratuita para PC y Android (Muy pronto para iOS), además que podrás jugar de forma anticipada la nueva actualización de Overbound 1.1. Recibirás artículos exclusivos para los ganadores en el juego. Además, con aprobación de los elegidos, tu música será publicada en las plataformas con apoyo de CosmicCatGames. CosmicCatMusic y Nature Light (Cabe aclarar que todas las canciones elegidas se publicarán dentro de un mismo álbum, dentro de un álbum recopilatorio, pero los artistas seguirán recibiendo los derechos correspondientes y todos los ingresos de su música serán entregados al autor correspondiente de la composición) de la misma forma como se publicó para los ganadores del primer Contest). El álbum se publicaría en varias plataformas como Spotify, YouTube, Apple Music, Dezeer, etc.

REGLAS:

- No pueden ser canciones que esten públicadas dentro de un sello, eso dificultará un poco el proceso para que podamos añadirla al juego. Si ya están publicadas en plataformas sin un sello, no hay problema, mientras tu al participar nos des el permiso de usar tu cancion dentro del juego.

- De preferencia debe ser música nueva, pero si lo prefieres y deseas puede ser música que ya tenías públicada anteriormente. Eso si te dará más posibilidades si la composición es nueva pero no es un requisito obligatorio.

- Queda prohibo el uso de elemenetos con derechos de autor. (Para evitar problemas al momento de públicar). La cancion que envies será comprobada y se determinará si la composición es completamente original. No puedes usar elementos de 3ros al menos que tengas los permisos y no haya ningun problema con la publicación, pero preferentemente no hagas uso de ellos, para evitar problemas (Que ya hemos tenido en el pasado con otro artista por duplicación de la composición completa). Preferentemente una composición completamente original sin uso de elementos de terceros.

- No puedes publicar más de una canción. Para que la participación sea justa, cada participante solo podrá subir una canción, si vemos que subiste más de una se te dará una advertencia y afectará tus posibilidades de participación. Usaremos la canción más reciente que hayas subido e ignoraremos las demás.
